Laguna 2 2007 cabasse: no audio and the cd changer is dead with ignition on

hello. I'm writing from portugal because I also have a problem with a Renault Laguna 2 2007 cabasse problem. I have no audio and the cd changer is dead with ignition on. with ignition of I can eject and load cd's but still no sound. does anyone know what is the problem usually?

Did you check all fuses? One for the radio/navigation in the usual fuse-compartment and one 20A fuse behind/under the ashtray.

I have a lot of experience with these Cabasse systems, also with repairs. But after reading your story and watching the movie, I still have no glue what is really the problem.
So please try to describe as clear as possible when the system is working and when not. Common problem is a faulty amplifier. No sound at all with some little sound when playing CD's.

Sound: when switching the ignition on I get static no Mather the frequency. Then, with variable timing, I get a POP and the sound goes completely off. The amplifier was changed and it's the same. Faulty replacement part?

Radio usage:
Ignition ON: can use without any problem the satellite control, near the stearing. Can't select cd's. CD changer Dead. Even the power button doesn't work neither lights.

Ignition off: can start the radio with power button on the cd changer. Can eject cds and load the last ejected cd.
Still no sound neither lights.

The popping sound for sure is caused by the amplifier. The strange part is that both amplifiers have exactly the same behavior.
Normally the popping sound does not cause the dead changer when the ignition is on. But the changer is connected to the amplifier, so, if there is a problem with the amplifier, it might be possible that your fault description is caused by that amplifier.
Faulty amplifiers are not extremely rare, so the chance that a replacement amplifier is also faulty, is possible.

ok. I'll try to change the amplifier and try to check for dry solders, especially those two power regulators

Repair of these amplifiers is not that easy without proper experience. You easily destroy more than you can solve!

I'll have it serviced by an electronic repair shop... any thing that I should say to them to be careful?

Most repair shops do a trick, without really fixing the several issues which can occur with these amplifiers. After several years of repair experience, together with a full test network for this system, I can assure you that an amplifier is really OK after I have checked it!
